Professional Stump Grinding/Removal in Siren, WI
Locally Owned. Satisfaction Guaranteed. Upfront Pricing.
Old stumps are more than eyesores — they attract insects, create tripping hazards, and make mowing difficult. Our stump grinder chews stumps below grade so you can replant, build, or simply enjoy a clean yard.
We use commercial-grade stump grinders in multiple sizes — from compact self-propelled units that fit through standard gates to track-mounted machines for soft ground and remote access. Every stump gets ground 6–12 inches below grade and backfilled with chips.

Common Questions
Tree Removal — Frequently Asked Questions
What is your minimum charge for stump grinding?
Our minimum charge for stump grinding is $275. Pricing may increase depending on the size and number of stumps, as well as accessibility.
What happens to the wood chips after stump grinding?
Stump grinding creates a large amount of wood chips. These can be raked and spread out on-site if you’d like to keep them for landscaping, or they can be hauled away for an additional fee if you prefer a full cleanup.
Do I need to do anything before stump grinding begins?
Yes. Stump grinding requires the customer to sign an underground utility release form for any utilities not identified by Digger’s Hotline. Either the customer or the contractor can coordinate contacting Digger’s Hotline prior to the work being completed
How deep do you grind stumps?
We typically grind 6–12 inches below grade. Deeper grinding is available if needed for construction or planting — just let us know during the estimate.
What happens to the wood chips?
Chips are used to fill the hole. Excess chips can be spread in garden beds, used as mulch around your property, or hauled away — your choice. Excess chips can be raked/ spread out or hauled away for additional cost.
Can you grind stumps in tight spaces?
Yes. We have compact, self-propelled grinders that fit through standard 36-inch gates and navigate around landscaping.
How long does stump grinding take?
Most stumps take 30–60 minutes. Large stumps (24″+ diameter) may take longer. Multiple stumps are typically done in a single visit.
Should I grind the stump or just leave it?
Grinding prevents insect infestations, eliminates regrowth, and reclaims usable space. We recommend it for any stump in your yard, near structures, or in areas you want to mow or landscape.
Will stump grinding damage my lawn?
We take care to minimize lawn impact. The grinding area will need reseeding, but surrounding lawn is typically undisturbed.
Can stumps be ground in winter?
Yes. Frozen ground can make access easier. We grind stumps year-round.
How much does stump grinding cost?
Pricing is based on stump diameter. Small stumps (under 12″) typically start around $100–$150. We offer multi-stump discounts — the more stumps, the lower the per-stump cost.
